Guest room is a very important space in one’s house. Therefore, we need to be equally mindful of the way it has to be decorated. Before setting out to decorate a guest room, one has to start thinking from a guest’s point of view. So, what is it that matters the most to the guests? To think practically, the first thing that all our guests would want is hygiene.

A guest room is just the same as a hotel room. Don’t we all like neat and clean rooms whenever we stay at hotels? Going by the same logic, it is important that you provide your guests with clean and tidy room to give them a pleasant stay at your home. Clean bedspreads, pillow covers, floors, walls (free of cobwebs), bathrooms etc. would be the things you need to take care of, to name a few.

Also, make sure that the interiors and the design that you choose for your guest room are easy to maintain as you would be the one who’s going to take care of the room later on. Therefore, go for simple accessories and designs. Keep the colours of your guestroom neutral as neutral colours are liked by everyone as opposed to the bright colours. Compensate the light shades of the walls with bright pillows, bed-sheets and curtains.

Choose comfortable beds along with comfortable mattresses and place a pair of seating chairs in the room too. A study table, a bed table, cupboards, drawers, dressing table etc. are some other important furniture items that you must provide your guests with.
