The mirror should be placed near the window to reflect as much light as possible and make the area look bigger. If your space is bigger, you can go for a rustic red colour on the wall complemented by tiles in a contrasting colour. Another aspect while decorating bathroom walls is to go for some form of subtle art on the wall. As a rule, if your mirror is framed, then the artwork too should be framed. You can also add a vase and artificial flowers near the washbasin to add a dash of colour to that corner.
