They say that childhood is a glorious and the most colourful period of one’s life. It is one the most innocent period that one goes through during one’s life. As one grows up, one has to undergo a lot of pressure and a lot of work to prove oneself…make a living for oneself. Growing up is never enough, it is always something or the other that one has to keep adjusting to as one progresses in age and comes out of childhood.
Childhood is innocent yellow and a perky pink. It is a phase when one is just bothered about one’s toys, one’s friends and all those little colourful joys that slowly loose their meaning and their thrill as one grows up.
Definition of happiness and joys gets more and more complicated with age. We want this…we want that…just about everything we want! Wishes and desires never seem to end and one continuously strives for something better and always more than what one has. Childhood, however, is that lovely rainbow period when one finds immense pleasure and joys in getting hold of little nothings and toys. Mom’s hug, a swing in the park, dad’s gift, a trip to the museum, a doll or a car….everything is about joy and colourful happiness in childhood. One’s priorities change, one’s wishes become more and more materialistic as one grows up… it becomes about gaining and profit in everything one does. But happiness always has a colour…that’s bright and sparkly whether it is of a child or a grown-up. Be happy and feel true colours of happiness!
