It’s January, the season of chilly air, pleasant shivers, frozen toes and occasional warm sun. Someone has rightly said, “winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home.”
We beg to differ, only a little…winter indeed is a time to relish hot soups and crispy toasts sitting tucked in a cozy blue blanket. Winter is also a time when one can just go out and embrace the chilly air, feel it gushing across and sometimes swishing past your cheeks to leave you numb. Everyone likes yellow orangy sunshine that’s warm and rejuvenating. But one must not ignore the breath of white creamy mornings and hazel evenings of winters. They add another dimension to the colours of life which no other season can compensate for.
There are some things that are hard to gasp but are totally worth it. Winter mornings for one, look impossible…it’s so hard to wake up and leave that warm and soft blanket and go about doing the chores. But at the same time, one must not forget to feel that creamy, bright and rich air that winter has. Winter air is special, it’s serene, it’s crisp…. It just feels wonderful.
Celebrate winters. Put on a bright coloured jacket, wrap yourself a little in all the bright shades possible… wear the best comfort shoes and take a walk. Take brisk long walks amidst greens, amidst the yellow city-mall lights or grey-greenish solitary lanes and share a quiet dialogue with the world outside. Let’s colour our world with the wintery crisp air than just hide from all that nature has on offer.
